ALPINE products from Masterflux are suitable for mobile transport applications, including over-the-road trucks and buses.
The ALPINE 08-2750Y3 Compressor is brushless DC variable speed (300V DC) with a voltage range of 212-420 V DC, and a capacity up to 34,000 BTU/hr. The ALPINE 08-2750Y3 is taller than the SIERRA product family, with a larger footprint.
This system package includes the compressor (ALPINE 08-2750Y3), controller (025F0093-03), manual control device (030A0138), and compressor harness (14942832).
Options for the system are a vibration mount LP96 (1" tall grommet with 1/4" bolt hole), LP157 (1” tall grommet with 5/16" bolt hole), or LP158 (5/8” tall grommet with 5/16" bolt hole) and the POWEREX 600V 50A diode (please view the pdf of the Masterflux bulletin regarding high voltage systems).

As of August 2011, Tecumseh announced a price increase for Masterflux® SIERRA and ALPINE series compressor and condensing units. SIERRA and ALPINE compressors utilize brushless DC (i.e., BLDC) compressor motors with rare earth magnets, NeFeB. The cost of rare earth magnets has risen to unprecedented levels due to export quotas, duties, and restrictions imposed by the Chinese government. The majority of the global consumption of rare earth materials is sourced from China. As such, associated compressor costs have risen significantly.
